Interactive Mood Music (2018)

This web audio generative piece explores a few concepts. First, the piano chords progression is generated by a first order Markov chain triggering samples of the chords and notes.  Second, samples of ambiances (night chorus, raindrops on leaves and emergency sirens) are added to suggest a narrative setting.

Once loading is completed, the message "Ready to play!" will be displayed, and you can press the "Start/Stop" button.

The Energy slider changes the piano playing speed, as well as adds percussions as it goes towards the right.

The Mood slider changes the ambiances and the mode of the notes (major scale to the left of the slider, minor scale to the right).

For best results, headphones should be used.
